Marantz CD6007 Finely Tuned CD Player
Marantz HDAM Technology
To replace common ICs, Marantz CD6007 created its own discrete circuit boards. These HDAMs are made up of separate surface-mount components with quick L/R signal pathways that are mirror images. These components fulfil the same function as Op-Amps but significantly outperform them in terms of Slew Rate and noise reduction, producing music that is more dynamic, accurate, and detailed. The CD6007's exclusive HDAM-SA2 circuit upgrades its prior HDAM module to provide a more reliable power supply. Power transistor temperatures have less of an impact on the idling current stability, allowing for stable performance even at high output levels.
Reference Quality D/A Conversion
A new Hi-Res D/A conversion is available in the Marantz CD6007. For the best possible musical fidelity with tight bass, pleasant mids, and smooth extended highs for CD playback and Hi-Res formats from USB memory stick, it is equipped with a reference class AK4490 D/A converter that offers two selectable filter options. It also offers up to 192-kHz/24-bit and DSD 5.6MHz resolution.
High Current Power Supply
Compared to the previous model, the audio power supply uses new higher value current storage capacitors and high speed, high current Shottky Barrier Diodes. For better current stability and less AC noise during demanding listening sessions, the size of the power supply capacitors has been increased by 120%.
High Slew Rate Op-Amp + HDAM-SA2
The headphone amplifier component of the Marantz CD6007 has been upgraded and redesigned in comparison to the CD6006's. The CD6007 carries over the proprietary Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with three gain levels (Low/Mid/High) for the best solo listening experience with virtually any brand of headphones.
Headphone Amplifier
The CD6007 provides an enhanced and reworked headphone amplifier component in comparison to the previous generation. The CD6007 carries over the proprietary Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with three gain levels (Low/Mid/High) for the best solo listening experience with virtually any brand of headphones. When a headphone is not attached to the device, the headphone amplifier automatically shuts off to prevent any unwanted interference or noise, but if you choose, it also has a "Off Circuit" function.
